Our first fundraiser of 2024 —THE BASICALLY BRITISH CONCERT— will take place on Saturday January 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM, at the headquarters of Agrícola Santa Amalia, in Comonfort, Guanajuato, hosted by our President, Álvaro Nieto.

This special concert, a journey through six centuries of music by British composers, will feature sopranos Jacinta Barbachano, Cecilia Eguiarte, and mezzo soprano Ingrid Fueli —all of them alumni of Concurso San Miguel,— with the Santa Amalia Ensemble, a quintet of musicians from the Academy of Ancient Music.

These young artists will sing and perform music of John Dowland, Henry Purcell, George Frideric Handel, Edward Elgar, Benjamin Britten, Sting, Annie Lennox and Mark Knopfler, arranged for period instruments.
