Featuring some of San Miguel’s finest vocalists, Soul Fusion is an independent, global movement and civil association. Its mission is to use the transformative power of Black music to promote peace, joy, and community worldwide.
International Women’s Day is this week, and Soul Fusion is commemorating the event with a concert and dance party blending blues, soul, jazz, salsa, cumbia, samba, and more to celebrate, educate, and encourage the contributions of women to society and music.
The concert party will take place at the Tres Fuentes Hotel Boutique, Baeza 7, Zona Centro, San Miguel de Allende, on Sunday, March 10, at 6pm.
Performers include Soul Fusion founder Dr. Jackie “Bouvier” Copeland, a noted jazz singer who is also the founder of Black Philanthropy Month, recognized in the Congressional Record for her civic contributions; rising star Danielle Simmons, from Southern California, an R&B songstress in the style of Whitney Houston and Lauryn Hill; iconic guest vocalist and Soul Fusion partner Lady Zen; and songbird Gabriela Espinosa.
In addition to four great singers, top instrumentalists Pepe Gaytan (drums), Carlos Vargas (keys) and Sergio Carrillo (bass) will perform backup.
Says Soul Fusion founder, Dr. Copeland, “We sing with all our heart and soul, not just to entertain but to touch the spirit of everyone who hears us for good.”
Admission for this event is $600 pesos. A limited number of optional three-course dinners are available for an extra $590 pesos. Soul Salsa Fusion reservations and tickets are available only at the hotel, in advance or at the door. For more information, call or WhatsApp (52) 415-121-0143.
