When international touring artist Enrique de Allende, a versatile tenor whose repertoire is crossover of opera and pop, made his Carnegie Hall debut last October, the theater pronounced him “Mexico’s new golden voice.”
Though Enrique was born in San Miguel, his career has taken off so rapidly that local audiences have seen little of him in recent years. But on February 21 at Hacienda Los Picachos, he will give a single performance of his new show.
The music producer and composer David Foster, who has trained and produced artists such as Josh Groban and Celine Dion, winner of 16 Grammy Awards, has this to say about him: “The interpretations of Enrique de Allende bristle your skin. It is an experience that penetrates your ears and connects you with universal contemporary music, with a romantic, classical style, but with a youthful touch.
