It will be the eighth official PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS concert, and it will be a real party: the Delux Edition, in fact!

Join me and an outstanding group of artists, including the one and only Lauren Mitchell, a talented blues and jazz singer who this year received a Grammy Award for her appearance on “Basie Swings the Blues.”

Her husband, bassist Jack Joshua, will play beats so funky it’ll be hard to stay in your seat.
My wonderful Latin jazz band MediaNoche with Víctor Monterrubio, Mario Torres and Rubén Olvera will not only be at the center of almost every arrangement, but will also have their own moments in the spotlight as individuals.

And it is a great pride for me to announce that the brilliant jazz guitarist Francisco Lelo De Larrea will accompany us from Mexico City. It’s absolutely incredible, as anyone who’s seen it will tell you.

Of course, you love the wonderful violinist Yala Torres of Hot Tamales, but tonight we will show off his stylistic versatility. Expect to be surprised.

Completing the ensemble is the young and talented Cuban saxophonist Freddy Thompson. And believe it or not, there may be a couple more local heroes on the scene, too.
What kind of music? Solo piano, blues, light classical music, knock and grind funk, live music and original Latin jazz. Maybe even some surf music. Vocals, instrumentals. All with a view to presenting combinations of talent that you have never seen here in San Miguel.
