$800 pesos Concert
By Alberto Robledo
Without a doubt David Mendoza is a great promise of music in México, he is a
multi-instrumentalist, and better known as an incredible violinist who lives in San
Miguel de Allende.
Beyond his understanding of music, David Mendoza understands the feelings.
He knows how to reach them with a violin lunge, with notes placed in the places his
heart asks. Listening to it is healing. Every note he plays tells you a story and they
reveal a truth that is hidden from many, denied by others: that the beauty of the
simple is what we need to heal this wounded world, eager for music and color.
David is a musician with all his lyrics, thirsty to discover the secrets of music that
makes him vibrate to transmit it to people; a musician who seeks to grow and touch
the sky with the people he plays for, with his friends. David knows that music is a
shared path.
His safety on stage is something to see, being a multi-instrumentalist and
composer, he has great knowledge about what happens on stage and an attentive
ear that helps him get to what he is imagining; He is a guide who takes both his
musicians and the public to new and bright places, in colors that can be seen and
felt. Or as Grammy nominee Michael Hoppe describes him, as: “Incredible
expressive violinist, it’s quite simply one of the most beautiful sounds you can
hear.”
For this concert he will share one of the favorite projects of the followers of this young virtuoso of music, his FRENCH, ARGENTINIAN & BRAZILIAN MUSIC CONCERT.
Playing music from composers like, Carlos Gardel, Astor Piazzolla, Milton Nascimento, Tom Jobin, Hermeto Pascoal, Egeberto Gismonti, Edith Piaf, Yann Tiersen and more…
Beside the magnificent “Carlos Vargas” on the piano from Mexico City, the pianist on the A list of many musicians in town, The terrific “Edgar Bord” on the Bass, another favorite bass player in SM, The brilliant “Camille Garcia” on the Accordion from France, and the excellent drummer originally from San Miguel de Allende “Israel Chavez”. With the special guest Soprano Patricia Diaz from Mexico City, (David’s Mother).
This will take place on the gorgeous venue that ST PAULS EPISCOPALIAN CHURCH share to San Miguel community. Located on El Cardo # 6 Centro SMA, in an intimate venue for no more than 100 people, making this event a very high-level concert in San Miguel de Allende, the heart of México.
Alberto Robledo is a Saxophone Performer, one of the young and big talents living
in San Miguel.
