Earning “Un certain regarde” at last year’s Cannes Film Festival this French Canadian Rom-Com, with some humouros elements, is definitely an incredible low key drama by an all around stellar director. The chemestry between the two main actors is excellent and the tension is incredible in the first scenes. The subjects of the movie like social classes and feminine sexuality are also rarely shown in a movie the way it’s shown in this one. It is not pretentious at all, it is just original and creative. It’s one of those sophisticated and over the top romantic comedies, that challenges the genre. Well worth a watch.
