An excellent though provoking film. There aren’t many films today that are bold enough to tackle the many polarizing issues confronting us in today’s America. The way this confounding issues are presented – in the context of a committed marriage- makes for a compelling, intimate, real life drama that no doubt is being played out every day in our fractured Society. The story pits two people with opposing views on multiple issues- like BLM, covid – attempting to find common ground- the ever elusive middle- that will allow their marriage to survive. Brilliant acting and a nuanced, great script, the direction is sensitive and, as we are thrown into this character’s lives and POV’s, we find ourselves struggling to not so much take sides with one or the other but to yearn for some kind of resolution. The conclusion will not disappoint you.
