Many of Leonard Cohen’s song lyrics are woven with references to the Bible and Jewish liturgy. In this interactive discussion, Amy will lead us in unpacking a few songs, and looking at how Cohen wrestles poetically with Jewish texts and theology.
Amy Gottlieb is a novelist and poet. Her debut novel, The Beautiful Possible, was a finalist for a National Jewish Book Award, the Harold Ribalow Prize, and the Wallant Award. She lives in New York City and often visits San Miguel de Allende.
