From the Italian Cent’anni (pronounced “chentani”), it takes its name from the good wish that is shared in a celebration: One hundred years. Just as in Mexico we finish off a toast with the usual “Cheers!”, in Italy they also do it by saying “Cent’anni” as a wish of prosperity, health and well-being for the next hundred years.
