Event Description

Affinity String Quartet: Direct from Madrid

Making history in 2023 as the first Australian ensemble to sweep the top three prizes at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, the Madrid-based Affinity String Quartet comes to San Miguel de Allende for an unforgettable evening of chamber music.

Formed in 2015, the ensemble has earned international acclaim for its passionate, accessible approach to the string quartet form and its explosive performance style. Their San Miguel program features masterworks by Beethoven and Mozart, alongside Anton Webern’s lush, romantic Langsamer Satz.

“Captivating playing.” — Süddeutsche Zeitung
