Event Description
Talk with Chilean artist Carlos Araya Vargas about the exhibition project "Traversée".
The Chilean artist, who has been based in Paris for over 30 years, has been invited to create an intervention at the Gothic Basilica of Saint-Denis in Paris, one of Europe’s most important Gothic buildings.
His contemporary paintings on canvas are installed in the temple’s chapels, offering an echo of the political, social, and urban events taking place outside, in the city streets.
Carlos Araya Vargas, an artist in residence invited by YAM Gallery during October and November 2026, invites the community of artists, art lovers, and simply the curious to talk about his motivations, influences, creative processes, and methodologies.
