Mexican Market Visit & Salsa Cooking Experience

Event Description

Accompany Jazz in an authentic Mexican gastronomic experience in San Miguel de Allende. We will meet at the San Juan de Dios market to tour its colorful stalls, choose fresh ingredients and learn more about chili peppers, Mexican products and the daily life of a local market. Then we will take a short, approximately 10-minute walk "Hääsi Casa Cultural", where you will prepare four Mexican sauces using different ingredients and traditional techniques, such as tatemado, frying and molcajete. We will also cook quesadillas with fresh ingredients from the market and enjoy everything around the table, accompanied by homemade Jamaica water. This is a completely practical experience, not a demonstration. During the activity, jazz, Mexican cook and actress from Puebla, will share family stories, culinary traditions and the secrets behind each sauce. Come cook, try, laugh and discover Mexican culture through its markets, flavors and stories.
Meeting point: the entrance to Mercado San Juan de Dios located directly across from Farmacias Similares at Indio Triste 30. After the market visit, we will walk to Hääsi Casa Cultural, where the cooking class takes place and the experience ends.

Special direct booking price: $1,000 MXN per person.

This is a shared small-group experience with a maximum of 6 participants. Solo travelers are welcome and may join other guests booked for the same date. The experience is confirmed once a minimum of 2 participants is reached.

The price includes the guided market visit, all ingredients and cooking materials, four Mexican salsas, quesadillas and homemade agua de jamaica.
