For the past 30 years, the Manuel Ramos Archive has rescued and disseminated the legacy of the pioneer of photojournalism in Mexico (1874-1945). The archive houses unique film material documenting the Cristero movement in the State of Mexico and popular areas of Mexico City. These images, captured with privileged access and advanced photographic skills for their time, constitute an invaluable testimony not recorded by industrial cinema.
