Synopsis:
With the spectacular performances of the time, Pedro Armendáriz and María Elena Marqués play a very poor couple, Quino and Juana, whose son suffers from the bite of a scorpion.
Quino is a fisherman who, in desperation, tries to sell a pearl he has found in the sea. Juana warns him to get rid of it because it will only bring them misfortune.
After defending himself from an attempted robbery and killing the assailant, Quino must run away with his family.
