Stephyloren: The Colombian singer-songwriter who captivates Mexico with her folk magic

During the pandemic, Stephyloren had a dream that changed her life: she saw herself at 87 years old, looking in the mirror, and an inner voice asked her, “Stephy, why didn't you ever try?” That revelation marked a turning point. When she woke up, she decided to pursue her true calling: she taught herself to play the guitar and piano with YouTube tutorials and began writing the songs that would shape her musical universe.

Since then, her path has been full of stages and emotions. She has given more than 300 concerts in Mexico, establishing herself as one of the most authentic and persevering voices of the new wave of Latin American folk-pop.

Co-author of “Corazón Herido,” included in Kalimba's latest album, Stephyloren also reached a new milestone in 2025 when she opened Siddhartha's concert in Toluca, in front of 50,000 people who connected with her energy and artistic honesty.
