Get ready for an experience that will ignite your senses and transport you through the most vibrant sounds of Latin America!
Fusión Colonche, one of the finest, most original, and powerful musical ensembles to emerge. They have performed in diverse venues, including the Indigenous Dance Festival, tours around Guanajuato, collaborations with the World Music Orchestra and have also performed in Mexico City's Zócalo.
Fusión Colonche is not your average trio. They're a sonic laboratory that rescues deep roots, honors them, and transforms them into a vibrant and contemporary spectacle. Their vision encapsulates tradition, virtuosity, and poetic sensitivity, creating wondrous moments.
Fusión Colonche's repertoire includes heartfelt Mexican pieces and traditional rhythms reborn with freshness and passion. Furthermore, the ensemble rescues sones jarochos with over 250 years of history, presenting them with artistic and theatrical arrangements that breathe new life into them and grant them a new brilliance.
One of the group's most distinctive innovations is their integration of poetry and versada in each performance. Verses are inspired by and rescued from ancient traditional versadores as well as from original creations. This blend makes the show a complete, sensitive, and profoundly human cultural experience.
Nadia Merkel – jarana, zapateado, vocals
Oscar Martínez Heredia – requinto jarocho
José Luis Mendoza Aubert – leona, harmonica, versada (spoken word poetry)
