The Tenant is a chilling tale of paranoia and alienation, following Trelkovsky (Roman Polanski), a quiet, unassuming man who rents an apartment in Paris after its previous tenant attempts suicide. As he becomes increasingly drawn into the life of his predecessor, Trelkovsky spirals into a nightmarish identity crisis, unable to distinguish reality from delusion. With its claustrophobic atmosphere and unsettling exploration of societal conformity, The Tenant is a masterclass in psychological tension and an enduring work of suspenseful cinema. Following the film there will be a discussion with Amy Cotler.
