Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is a hypnotic descent into madness, set against the eerie isolation of the Overlook Hotel. Jack Nicholson delivers an unforgettable performance as Jack Torrance, a writer whose fragile psyche unravels as supernatural forces—and his own demons—overtake him. Kubrick’s meticulous direction and unsettling atmosphere make this film an enduring masterpiece of psychological horror.
