Everybody’s Fine | 1990 | Italy | Drama
Director: Giuseppe Tornatore
With: Marcello Mastroianni, Michèle Morgan, Valeria Cavalli
Duration: 1:58 hrs.
In Italian with English subtitles
Programmer: Elías Nahmías

Giuseppe Tornatore’s Everybody’s Fine follows an aging father, played by the legendary Marcello Mastroianni, as he embarks on a cross-country journey to reconnect with his grown children. Expecting warmth and success stories, he instead uncovers a reality far from what he imagined. The film is a poignant reflection on self-deception, the distance between perception and truth, and the emotional cost of familial expectations.

Following the screening, there will be a discussion with Amy Cotler.
