Pizmon: Columbia University’s World-Touring Jewish A Capella Group

Pizmon is a Hebrew word that means chorus or refrain of a song. It is also the name of the renowned pluralistic Jewish a cappella group of Columbia University, Barnard College, and the Jewish Theological Seminary. The mission of this 15-member ensemble is to share the love of Jewish music all over the world; Pizmon has toured extensively throughout the United States, Central and South America, and Western and Eastern Europe.

The choral group promotes joy and peace, as exemplified by the video above, entitled “One Day Salaam.”

Pizmon makes its San Miguel debut by special arrangement with the Jewish Cultural and Community Center (JC3) of San Miguel, for a single concert at St. Paul’s Church, at 7:30pm, on Saturday, March 15.

For the comfort and convenience of the audience, all seats for this concert are assigned and reserved, an infrequent occurrence at St. Paul’s Church, but a specialty of Boleto City.
