Description de l'événement
As part of the International Book Fair of the University of Guanajuato, we invite you:
Diana Santana, Bachelor of Performing Arts from the University of Guanajuato
"Modesta Gómez" by Rosario Castellanos. This play not only pays tribute to the author but also addresses relevant topics for the thematic axis of the fair: The book and reading: territories and displacements.
The dramatized reading seeks to offer a dynamic interpretation that allows the audience not only to listen but to live Modesta's story, who faces invisible obstacles related to inequality and social displacement. The work deeply connects with current struggles, inviting reflection on the role of the book as a vehicle to explore these internal and social territories.
We aim to create a reflective space on how literature can contribute to the understanding of personal and social displacements, and to convey the impact of Castellanos' work in a way that inspires the audience to question and value their own environment.
