Description de l'événement
Join the celebration at the African Heritage Library at the Third Black Mexico Festival, our third root.
Makeda, a girl who arrives in a new neighborhood, meets Vicente, and together they begin to weave a bond that will lead them to inhabit an imagined territory: a place that remembers Africa, but that could be any corner of the world where memory, nature and roots still He whispers, despite the changes in modernity.
“Dreaming of Africa” is an interdisciplinary scenic work where theater, oral narration, live music, object theater and puppets are intertwined to reflect on identity, memory, racialization and coexistence between differences.
Mulato Teatro (Mexico City) Founded in 2003, they have the mission of promoting shows that make it possible to make visible, recognize and value the past and present of the cultural and ethnic mixes of Mexico.
