Description de l'événement
Too hot? The best cinema awaits you in a cool paradise, Teatro Santa Ana
Nostalgia | 1983 | Dir. Andrei Tarkovsky
Audio: Italian, Russian. Spanish Subtitles
It is a cinematographic experience that you just passed through, like a melancholic dream that slowly permeates the soul.
Nostalgia is Tarkovsky in its purest form: slow motion, long shots, loaded with a pictorial composition reminiscent of the masters of the Renaissance and Baroque.
There is no conventional narrative here: the story follows Andrei, a Russian poet who travels to Italy to research a forgotten composer.
Tarkovsky, exiled from his own country, puts here his soul. His cinema was never political in the direct sense, but it was always subversive in the spiritual. Nostalgia is a meditation on faith, madness, memory and hope. But it does not give answers. It only opens doors.
