Candy Cane Cabaret

San Miguel de Allende’s holiday season lights up with theatrical sparkle as Latin Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Liah Alonso headlines the 2nd annual edition of the Candy Cane Cabaret, which last year was a sold-out smash.

The date is Thursday, December 18th; the place is Mansion Calavera, Umaran 20 in Centro. There are two showtimes, at 6pm and 8pm.

This is a holiday show with a difference: an immersive world where cabaret, concert and theater intermingle. You can expect powerhouse vocals, bold characters, live musicians, and a story that unfolds around you. Not to mention a costume contest with delicious prizes – “dress up and bring your flair,” says Alonso.

Liah Alonso, who tours internationally and performs in San Miguel on special occasions, is fresh off a New York engagement that had her performing in Times Square and making her Sony Hall debut—where she introduced her new single “Jingle Your Bells.” That single, the artist’s latest holiday release, already generating buzz among fans, will receive its San Miguel debut at the Candy Cane Cabaret.

Alonso has assembled a vocal/theatrical cast of genre-bending artists, including Viper Mary, Tuti Lennon, Samara Pro, Freddy Thompson, Maritza...and “Santa,” hotter and more chaotic than ever.
