Join us for a screening of Bitter Rice, a 1949 Italian neorealist drama directed by Giuseppe De Santis and starring Vittorio Gassman and Silvana Mangano. The film follows Francesca and Walter, a criminal couple on the run from the law, until they are accidentally separated and Francesca takes refuge among a group of peasant women working in the rice fields. A true Italian classic that launched Silvana Mangano to international fame.
