Description de l'événement

Experience the Cervantino International Festival from the Teatro Santa Ana in Biblioteca Pública.

Enjoy the broadcast of the opera “Tosca de Giacomo Puccini” by Compañía Nacional de Ópera.

Dur. 120 min

A three-act opera without redemption, in which power, violence, and deceit drive the plot. Set against a tense political backdrop, the work lacks any redeeming twists, immersing the audience in a harrowing atmosphere thick with suspicion, where even love is tainted by jealousy and mistrust.

The value of this classic lies in the development of its characters and, above all, in the evolution of its protagonist, Floria Tosca, who, as the plot unfolds, transforms from a frivolous and sophisticated woman with no interest in politics into a heroine who, driven by the extreme circumstances she faces, is forced to make desperate decisions.
