A Special Day

Immerse yourself in Ettore Scola's mastery with A Special Day, an essential film that portrays the unexpected encounter between two lonely souls on a day when the world seems to have stopped. As Rome surrenders to the fervor of Hitler's visit in 1938, Antonietta and Gabriele discover, within the walls of an empty building, a connection that defies the conventions of their time.

With impeccable staging and legendary performances by Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni, the film invites us into a profound and heartbreaking intimacy. It is a subtle portrait of oppression and silent resistance, where tenderness becomes the purest act of rebellion against the rigidity of history.

We invite you to experience this gem of Italian cinema: a human, courageous, and deeply moving story that reminds us that, even in the darkest times, mutual understanding can illuminate existence.
