Event Description
Selected โPolitics, Laughter & Obsessionโ films at Teatro Santa Ana, La Biblioteca, every Wednesday in June
๐ฅThe Postman Always Rings Twice | Dir. Tay Garnett
In English | 113 min.
๐Set in Depression-era California, the film follows Frank Chambers, a drifter who takes a job at a roadside diner and becomes entangled with Cora, the ownerโs restless wife. Their attraction quickly turns conspiratorial.
Driven by ambition and resentment, the two devise a plan to murder Coraโs husband and claim both the business and their freedom. What begins as calculated passion unravels into paranoia, guilt, and inevitability, as chance intervenes and the consequences of their actions close in.
