Event Description

Cine Bacco Art Films & Concerts presents a screening of the acclaimed 2005 French drama thriller "The Beat That My Heart Skipped" ("De battre mon cœur s'est arrêté"), directed by Jacques Audiard and starring Romain Duris and Niels Arestrup. Tom leads a double life: collecting debts and roughing up squatters for his shady real-estate boss by day, while secretly chasing his dead mother's dream of becoming a concert pianist. As the pressure of both worlds collides, an audition approaches that could change everything. A kinetic, music-driven remake of Fingers and one of the defining French films of the 2000s, winner of the César Award for Best Film. Screenings are offered with English subtitles at 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM, and Spanish subtitles at 8:00 PM.
