Event Description
The film follows Dr. Philip Nitschke, one of the world’s leading advocates for euthanasia, who, after losing his medical license, decides to try his hand at stand-up comedy.
At the same time, we meet Kathy Beech, a British woman who travels to Tijuana to prepare for the possibility of inheriting her mother’s degenerative disease.
“Sweet Death” is, in reality, a celebration of life—of empathy, freedom, and the courage to face our own mortality.
After the screening, stay for a discussion with the director.
