Federico Fellini’s The Clowns is a playful yet melancholic tribute to the fading world of circus clowns. Blending documentary with fiction, the film captures Fellini’s nostalgic fascination with performers and the absurdity of human existence. With surreal imagery, humor, and deep affection for its subject, The Clowns offers a poetic meditation on art, memory, and spectacle. Following the screening, there will be a discussion with Amy Cotler.
