Michael Haneke’s Code Unknown is an intricate mosaic of intersecting lives, exploring themes of communication, race, and social alienation in contemporary Europe. Told through long, unbroken takes, the film challenges the viewer’s perceptions of empathy and narrative coherence.

Haneke’s signature style—observational, unflinching, and intellectually rigorous—makes Code Unknown a powerful meditation on modern disconnection.

Following the screening, there will be a discussion with Amy Cotler.
