He has collaborated with publications such as El Norte, El Polemista, El Porvenir, La Gaceta del FCE, Letras Libres, Milenio Diario (Monterrey), Nexos, Postdata, Puro Cuento, and more.
He has been awarded various prizes, including the Nuevo León Literature Prize 2003; Julio Torri National Youth Short Story Prize 2005; Salvador Gallardo Dávalos National Youth Literature Prize 2007; International Latino Book Award, Best Young Fiction category, 2014; Cuatrogatos Foundation Prize 2014.
Playa Bagdad
Marcelo and Miguel, the Santiago brothers, are united by a complicity that only arises from sharing the first years of life. What separates them, however, is the search for their own identity, independent of each other.
Who do we become when we distance ourselves from the gaze of our siblings? How do we want to be remembered by our family? Who do we entrust with the definitive portrait of who we are? Antonio Ramos Revillas, with the sensitivity of someone who knows how to navigate the turbulent waters of the mind, explores these questions from the perspective of a disappearance that will lead the characters to explore the streets of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, and the shores of Playa Bagdad.
Playa Bagdad is a novel of mystery and search, whose precise and risky prose leads us through changes of perspective and twists of fate to confront a lighthouse: a symbol of the course that can be glimpsed even in the darkest nights. A daring tale, filtered to preserve only the essence of what integrates us.
