Event Description
Rediscover the guitar’s rich musical legacy from a fresh, intimate perspective — and experience how the past and present come together through the universal language of music.
Latido Armónico: Dialogues Between Tradition and Contemporary Music is a captivating program presented by Cuarteto Orishas, featuring both transcribed and original works for guitar quartet.
The program stands out for its diverse and thoughtfully curated repertoire, including pieces such as Danzas Nativas by Clarice Assad, One 4 All 4 One by Sergio Assad, and original quartets by Juan Trigos and Javier Compeán. These contemporary works are placed in dialogue with classical transcriptions of Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 14, and Chopin’s Étude Op. 10 No. 3.
This carefully crafted selection not only showcases the expressive range and versatility of the classical guitar, but also reflects Cuarteto Orishas’ dedication to innovation and their deep respect for the musical traditions that inspire Latido Armónico.
