Event Description

This Saturday, January 31, It Was Just an Accident, the latest and most powerful thriller from director Jafar Panahi, screens — a film as unsettling as it is deeply political.

What begins as a minor incident sets off a chain of increasingly severe consequences, revealing a system where power, guilt, and impunity are relentlessly intertwined. With his sober, precise style, Panahi constructs a narrative that keeps the tension taut while delivering a direct critique of authoritarianism.

Award-winning and internationally acclaimed, It Was Just an Accident demonstrates that cinema can be both an act of resistance and an absorbing thriller that offers no respite.

Showtimes: 3:30 PM · 6:00 PM · 8:00 PM
Running time: 1h 43 min | Thriller | Iran / France

A film that unsettles, shocks, and lingers long after the lights go out.
