Event Description

Screening of Jafar Panahi's 2025 thriller "It Was Just an Accident" (1h43). What begins as a minor accident sets in motion a series of escalating consequences. Perhaps the most bluntly political film by Jafar Panahi yet, It Was Just an Accident is a defiant rebuke of authoritarianism that still delivers the entertainment value of a gripping thriller. Dir: Jafar Panahi. Cast: Vahid Mobasseri, Mariam Afshari. Country: Iran/France. Multiple screenings on Sat Jan 10, 2026 at 3:30 PM, 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM in San Miguel de Allende. Runtime 1h43.
