Event Description
One of the jewels of San Miguel, elaborately decorated for the holidays!
A concert pianist will bring us joy, not to mention we will be offering champagne and pastries.
A local gallery will present several pieces of art and part of the proceeds will benefit the Library.
What to expect:
Anyone passionate about collections will never want to leave this grand and imposing house.
The owner meticulously and tastefully renovated the complex, rescuing it from its former state as a hostel.
Surprises begin immediately with a beautiful half bathroom decorated in blue and white tiles and a hand-painted ceramic sink.
Walking through the house is like going on a treasure hunt. Each room is a feast for the eyes.
The collections vary greatly: multiple crystal chandeliers under which to have your morning coffee, framed antique maps, ceramic plates, ornate golden chairs, elaborately carved headboards, curtains fit for royalty, and even a collection of framed Hermès boxes (containing silk scarves that her children give her every Christmas).
There is religious art from centuries past, including ancient vestments and a collection of crosses.
Carved fireplaces and terraces have been added, all with period details.
The master bathroom has two pedestal sinks carved in stone. Be sure to see a tile representation of Michelangelo's David on the wall of another shower!
The kitchen is cheerful with a collection of miniature teapots.
The interior patios surround a pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a cozy fountain.
