Event Description
Parlez-vous Cinéma? French cinema cycle in the library!
La Haine (Hate) | Dir. Mathieu Kassovitz | 1994
in French with Spanish subtitles | 95 min | Fiction, restored version
The young people of the "Bluebell" housing complex have spent the whole night facing the police. The reason? Abdel Ichaha, a 16-year-old teenager, is torn between life and death after being brutally beaten during a police interrogation.
Among them, Hubert, Saïd and Vinz are about to live the most important day of their lives. Today the fourth protagonist of this story enters the scene: a Beretta caliber 9 mm automatic pistol, chromed and shiny, which, it is said, a civilian policeman lost during the riots.
