A celebration of Mexico’s Afro-descendant roots through the music, dance, song, and poetry of Tabasco, Veracruz, Guerrero, Guanajuato, and Oaxaca.
AfroSon, an artistic collective from Guanajuato, presents “Sangre Negra,” a performance that invites you on a journey through the sounds, movements, and stories that keep alive a cultural heritage that, for centuries, has enriched Mexico’s artistic and social legacy.
Enjoy the pieces that make up “Sangre Negra,” ranging from Huastecan foot-stomping to the Chontal rhythms of Tabasco, from Jarocho singing to the coastal son of Oaxaca.
