FASMA | Workshops on Art Appreciation and Creation, Your Story Is Art Too

We all have a story that has shaped us: moments of joy, challenges, dreams, people who have influenced us, and experiences that have made us who we are. In this workshop, young people will discover that these experiences can be transformed into a work of art.

Guided by artists and facilitators, each participant will first complete a reflective exercise to identify a significant personal story. From this experience, they will explore how to translate emotions, memories, and messages into colors, shapes, textures, and symbols, creating a painting that represents their own story.

The goal is not to learn to paint ""correctly,"" but to understand that art is a language for expressing what words sometimes cannot say.

At the end of the creative process, the artworks will be displayed in a FASMA Youth Group Exhibition, open to the public, where family, friends, and visitors can learn about the stories each young person chose to tell through art. This exhibition seeks to recognize the talent of the participants, give visibility to their creations, and demonstrate that art has the power to transform personal experiences into inspiration for the entire community.
