"**WATER + COLOR + CHAOS = ART** 💥🎨💦
Watercolor Workshop: by César Gordillo
Where the blot rules and the “mistake” is the boss
Do you think watercolor is something serious and difficult?
Cool! That just means you haven’t used it yet to make a beautiful mess.
This is NOT a class for “pretty painting”.
This is a laboratory for controlled chaos. We’re going to splash, blow, squeeze, and watch what crazy things the water does when you give it freedom.
What are we going to create?
💣 Explosions of color that look like they’re from another planet
👻 Ghostly transparencies and layers that tell secrets
🪨 Weird textures with salt, plastic, drinking straws… whatever we come up with
🎲 Happy accidents because if you mess up here = you win
🌈 Forbidden mixes they don’t teach you in school
👁️ Wild abstract shapes—or whatever your brain invents
🪄 Tricks that look like magic but are pure physics + water
Here, water does what it wants. The color escapes. The paper rebels.
And you just have to go along with the game.
Just bring the desire to experiment, hands ready to get messy, and zero fear of the “it didn’t turn out”.

👧👦 Ages: 13-20 years | with the desire to create without rules. Small groups so everyone can paint comfortably.

**Profile: César Gordillo**
**Mexican Architect and Watercolorist**
His work is distinguished by a deep interest in light and atmosphere. These elements turn every landscape into a sensory experience, beyond literal representation.
His approach to watercolor combines loose Alla Prima brushwork with precise control of transparencies, inspired by both Impressionist tradition and the chromatic richness of urban and natural landscapes.
Throughout his career, he has participated in group and solo exhibitions at the national and international level. His work is part of the Permanent Collection of the Museo de la Acuarela “Alfredo Guati Rojo”, the Museo de la Acuarela del Estado de México, and the Museo Walter Anderson in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
He has been recognized on two occasions with the Trofeo Tlacuilo, awarded by the Sociedad Mexicana de Acuarelistas and the Museo Nacional de la Acuarela. In addition, his work has been published in the international magazine The Art of Watercolor.
