Event Description

Darbukanos Dance Concert. We are pleased to invite you to our production Bellydance Gala at Teatro Santa Ana at 6pm on Friday, July 11th. This time we will play and dance in the pure Arabian style accompanied by the spectacular dancer Viri Reyes and Our Darbukista Moises Ponce (from the city of Queretaro), on the Flute Aurora Artemisa, Violin Saul Taboa on the Oud Hector Gaona (from the city of Guanajuato), Fridha Gitana in Dance, Production and Original Idea San Miguel de Allende.

Experience an unforgettable evening of rhythm and movement with Bellydance Night, featuring the captivating performances of Ani Torres and Fridha Chacón, accompanied by musicians specializing in traditional music from Turkey, the Balkans, and Sephardic culture.

The ensemble blends ancient instruments such as the oud, flute, and darbuka with those that emerged through musical hybridization in the 20th century, like the violin and keyboard.

This unique combination creates a soundscape that honors deep-rooted traditions while embracing contemporary expression — a dynamic fusion of past and present through music and dance.
