Tempestad. A documentary film by Tatiana Huezo
Mexico | 2016 | Rating: B | Spanish language

This documentary, Tatiana Huezo's second feature film, demonstrates the clarity of two women who, in a small and revealing act of resistance, refuse to accept the surrounding reality.

Synopsis:

One woman is confined in a prison controlled by organized crime, while another searches for her missing daughter. Through images that immerse us in a journey from north to south of Mexico, the two testimonies intertwine and take us to the heart of a storm:

A country where violence has taken control in the face of the helplessness of its inhabitants and the indifference or complicity of the State.
