Alfred Thompson— GRAMMY Nominee saxophonist, composer, arranger, former member Buena Vista Social Club and musical director for Omara Portuondo debuts a new trio format with two saxophones and piano. Alongside Freddy Thompson (sax) and Papacho Sirdey (piano), they will perform compositions that blend jazz, Cuban son, Afro‑Latin rhythms, and global influences. The set draws from his celebrated solo career and includes WORLD PREMIERES, shifting from energetic jazz to atmospheric classical passages and balancing tradition,modernity, spirituality and nostalgia, while reviving Mambo and other classic Cuban genres.
