Event Description
Blue Beard Blues Band is a blues trio led by Elihú "Barba Azul," a guitarist and harmonica player originally from Mexico City who recently moved to San Miguel de Allende.
He is one of Mexico's most prominent and active harmonica players, giving concerts in Mexico City and other cities throughout the country, appearing at festivals, cultural forums, jazz and blues clubs, bars, schools, and jams. He has also been invited to play at harmonica festivals in the United States in 2021 and in North Carolina in 2023.
This trio continues the tradition of recreating classic blues songs, which is very common in this genre. It's not about copying or copying songs exactly, as some arrangements aim to add their own unique touch.
