Event Description

«A breathtaking fusion of dance and cinema—movement becomes pure emotion on screen.»

Pina is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant tribute to the legendary German choreographer Pina Bausch, whose groundbreaking work redefined the language of contemporary dance.

Directed by Wim Wenders, the film showcases iconic pieces performed by the Tanztheater Wuppertal ensemble, captured both on stage and in striking outdoor locations.

Originally shot in 3D, Pina is not just a documentary—it’s an immersive cinematic experience that turns movement into visual poetry. With minimal dialogue, the film speaks through the power of the body, evoking deep emotional truths.

Following the film, there will be an analysis and discussion with Amy Cotler.
