Biography:The San Miguel de Allende World Music Orchestra was founded in 2019, with musicians from various parts of Mexico; from Quintana Roo to Torreón, as well as musicians from Canada, the USA, Africa, France, and Argentina, all based in San Miguel de Allende and who have participated in the orchestra, enriching it with their particular sound.
The San Miguel de Allende World Music Orchestra is presided by percussionist and drummer Victor Monterrubio.

In its participation in the San Miguel de Allende World Music Festival 2024, the Orchestra has prepared a repertoire that includes different sonorities on arrangements of folk and popular pieces from Latin America, including compositions by the legendary Max Roach (USA), Airto (Brazil), as well as original compositions designed for the 10-element format that makes up the orchestra.
