Just as San Miguel de Allende is a mix of cultures, colors and flavors that coexist and interact with each other on a daily basis, giving rise to an atmosphere that can only be found in this incredible city.

One of the objectives of the San Miguel de Allende World Music Festival, chaired by Víctor Monterrubio - musician originally from Mexico City and based in San Miguel since 2000, percussionist, drummer, has participated in very diverse musical projects of all kinds; of jazz music, flamenco, blues, Latin music, with the best musicians in each field - is to expose the projects that are active in San Miguel de Allende that have emerged in this city; of the interaction between Mexican, Cuban, English, American, Colombian, Spanish, French, Canadian artists, and from various parts of the globe, making it accessible to the general public with traveling presentations in different parts of the city.

The musical genres that we will find within the productions of the San Miguel de Allende World Music Festival will be: jazz, flamenco music, Cuban music, blues, "belly dance", Mexican folk music, Brazilian music, funk, reggae, rock, African music, electronic music, classical music and all the above mixed together. Thus, the spectrum is quite broad and the city has several active projects worthy of exhibiting their art within the festival program.
