Flutist from Cuba, he graduated from the National School of Arts of Camaguey, where he is originally from and worked as a flute teacher at the Vocational School of Art in the city of Camaguey. He also studied at the Higher Institute of Arts in Havana, and later joined the Camaguey Symphony Orchestra as an alternating soloist.
In 1986, he traveled to Mexico and dedicated himself fully to the study of contemporary music, jazz and latin jazz, under the tutelage of the teacher and pianist Miguel Salas.
He recorded his album “Charanguero” with musicians of the caliber of Osmany Paredes (piano), Braulio Stalin (bass), Miguel Valdés (percussion), Raul Oviedo (percussion), Celio L. González (percussion), Haco Gonzalez (sax).
His second album “Pa‘ Malanga” includes works by mexican composers including Pepe Morán, José Hernández and Victor Patron.
He has presented at major national and international festivals, and many jazz clubs.
