Enjoy a magical evening with the prestigious baritone Rafael Jorge Negrete, accompanied by pianist Javier García-Lascurain and the Mariachi Juvenil Allende. An event that fuses classical music with Mexican traditions in the Christmas setting.
Rafael Jorge Negrete, originally from Mexico City, is a baritone of international renown, with a degree in Opera Singing from the National Conservatory of Music. His career includes performances in important cultural forums such as the National Center for the Arts, Teatro de la Ciudad, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and the Bicentenario Theater, among others.
His paternal family is from Jalisco, and on his mother's side he is the grandson of Mexican idol Jorge Negrete, born in Guanajuato.
Rafael has performed leading roles in operas such as Puccini’s “La Bohème,” Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville,” Bizet’s “Carmen,” and Orff’s “Carmina Burana.” He has also sung dramatic tenor roles in Leoncavallo’s “Payasos,” Puccini’s “Turandot” and “Tosca,” and Verdi’s “Aida” and “Nabucco.”
With a repertoire ranging from opera to Mexican songs, he has given concerts in countries such as France, Germany, Japan, and in the United States in cities such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, as well as in Spain, in Madrid and Pamplona.
In film and television, he has starred in commercials, soap operas and films such as El Hermano Martín and Padre Pro.
